My name is Kristen Heise and I am the leading artist here at HIZ Caricatures. I have been creating caricatures professionally for almost 20 years. I stumbled into this profession a long, long time ago :-) when I was attending school for Commercial Art. A student approached me to draw him. I obliged, but decided to render him in a comical and exaggerated fashion. As soon as i presented it to him, he doubled over in hysterical laughter. I was pleasantly flattered. Very shortly thereafter, his school approached me to do "funny" pictures of the entire graduating class; Hence, my new vocation presented itself.
Rendering impromptu caricatures at all kinds of events and gatherings has, and will be, my primary vocation; However, I also enjoy illustrative work and canvas paintings. This is my first entry, but please come back soon as I am going to post more of my past work as this progresses.
